True Friends of the Mets know...Bob Friend's Mets career included 2 walk-off losses. In one, he allowed a walk-off home run to Phillies slugger Dick Allen. The other came on a bases-loaded bunt hit by Cubs catcher Randy Hundley.

Those early seasons when a) the Mets were horrid and b) they played what would become Western teams 18 times really helped shape the wins list.

Steve Rogers called. Wants to know what the fudge is a National.

OK, so lets look at this in my lifetime as a Mets fan, which begins around 1980, but we'll start at 1982, since I think that's when I became "intense" about the Mets (I was 7).

I'll just list the ones that differ on the wins list.

Astros- Bob Knepper, 8

Braves- Greg Maddux, 19

Cardinals- Joaquin Andujar, 9

Cubs- Greg Maddux, 16

Dodgers- Bob Welch, 9

Giants- Mike Krukow, 11

Phillies- Vicente Padilla, Kevin
Gross, 10

Pirates- John Smiley, 10

Reds- Jose Rijo, Tom Browning, 8

Greg Maddux has certainly gotten his shots in at us from every conceivable angle. Still can't wait 'til he passes Clemens on the all-time wins list.
